The historical importance of the first TBA (Trockenbeerenauslese) in Donnerskirchen or the Ruster Ausbruch is that it has significantly enhanced the awareness and, consequently, the significance of viticulture in the Burgenland. Since 1990 in-depth quality control has been a first principal and together with on-going development it continues to under-pin our production today.

The new winemaker generation of Burgenland is both well educated and internationally experienced. Therefore new quality and production initiatives are implemented very quickly and with spectacular results. So, today you will find perfectly selected vines and rootstocks, chosen because of our awareness of our terroir and distinctive climate. The focus on our indigenous varieties emphasises the confidence of our winemakers.
