Hans Tschida is winner of the International Wine Challenge "Sweet Winemaker of the year 2011" trophy!

Hans Tschida from Angerhof Tschida in Illmitz has taken first place internationally after winning eight gold medals, five silver medals and two bronze medals at the International Wine Challenge in London. To top it all, Tschida has been awarded the “Sweet Winemaker of the Year“ trophy for the second year in a row. The trophy was announced last Tuesday 6 September 2011 during the festive IWC Awards Dinner, held at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London.
Hans Tschida has received gold medals the follwoing wines:
•    Muskat Ottonel Beerenauslese 2006
•    Muskat Ottonel Schilfwein 2004
•    Muskat Ottonel Schilfwein 2006
•    Sämling 88 Trockenbeerenauslese 2004
•    Sämling 88 Trockenbeerenauslese 2005
•    Sämling 88 Trockenbeerenauslese 2006
•    Sämling 88 Trockenbeerenauslese 2007
•    Sämling 88 Trockenbeerenauslese 2008.

Around 10,000 wines were tasted and rated at the annual International Wine Challenge in London The tasting panels are made up of 370 international Masters of Wine, wine producers, wine merchants and wine journalists – it included Tim Atkin MW, Oz Clarke, Charles Metcalfe, Sam Harrop MW, Derek Smedley MW and Debra Meiburg MW.
